CALL FOR WORKSHOP PRESENTERS
Interpretation Canada BC and NAI Region 10
In partnership with Metro Vancouver
 ~Joint Spring Conference~

       April 17 – 19th, 2014 @ the Annacis Research Centre, Delta BC

The BC Section of Interpretation Canada is currently seeking workshop presentations that will enhance the practice and professional knowledge of new and experienced nature, heritage and museum interpreters and outdoor educators from across Canada. Workshops and presentations will ideally complement the 2015 conference theme of “The Trickle Down Effect: Interpreting our Watersheds”. Accepted conference proposals will describe the professionally relevant content offered during an engaging 90-minute workshop, and will be able to accommodate up to 30 participants (multi-part workshops will be considered). $100 is paid to presenters.

Watershed Education and Field Trip Day  April 17th (Fri)
Find out how to use community locations as classrooms and how to engage students in water education & activities. Network with other like-minded educators and interpreters.
Choose one of the following all day field trips:
-          Capilano River Regional Park & Project WET
-          Seymour-Capilano Water Treatment Centre & Watershed Tour
-          Fraser River Discovery Centre & teaching resource kit
Shuttles and bag lunch included. Appies provided at the Surrey Central City Pub social.

Interpretation Spring Mega Conference   April 18-19th (Sat - Sun)
Save this date on your calendars to join us for this year’s conference workshops and keynote speaker. This joint conference replaces the individual NAI and Interpretation Canada BC Annual Spring Conferences.

Workshops in the past: props, theming, program development, puppetry, storytelling, program evaluation, event planning, volunteer management, song writing, guided walks, developing displays

Lunches and Saturday night BBQ dinner provided. And don't forget about the campfire, Interpalooza, owling/coyote howl, and silent auction.
